Meet Dr. Linsey Gani

Dr. Linsey Gani is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at Soon Diabetes Thyroid and Endocrinology Clinic, Novena Medical Center. She also serves as a visiting consultant with the Department of Endocrinology at Changi General Hospital, Singapore. A graduate of the University of Melbourne, Dr. Gani is an accredited endocrinologist and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and the Academy of Medicine in Singapore. She holds a Master of Public Health in healthcare management and public policy from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Areas of Interest and Expertise

Dr. Gani specializes in osteoporosis, metabolic bone diseases, diabetes and public health, and she is highly involved in medical education and multidisciplinary research initiatives. Her global clinical experience includes positions in Melbourne, New York, Boston, and Hong Kong. She has led significant research initiatives, including studies on biosimilar insulin utilization in Asia, hip fractures, and the genetics of atypical femoral fractures in collaboration with the Genome Institute of Singapore.

Research and Contributions

An active researcher, Dr. Gani has been involved in major trials, including the Asian Diabetes Outcomes Prevention Trial (ADOPT). She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and contributed to international task forces on osteoporosis management. She serves as a reviewer for high-impact journals such as “Diabetes Obesity and Metabolism” and “Osteoporosis International.”

Teaching and Leadership

Dr. Gani is dedicated to education, having served as a course director for the Osteoporosis Management Course and vice chairperson of the scientific committee for the Asian Federation of Osteoporosis Societies. She currently holds the position of vice president of the Osteoporosis Society of Singapore and actively participates in medical student education as an examiner and lecturer.
